Jaguar Land Rover Australia has announced a recall on the fourth-generation Discovery 4WD, over safety concerns for models fitted with a panoramic glass roof.
The carmaker reports that, on certain models, the primer that bonds the glass to the roof assembly âmay not have been to the correct specificationâ.
This issue could potentially lead to the glass panel detaching from the vehicle, Land Rover says. If this occurs while driving, the panel could collide with other vehicles, or move others to swerve.
The recall affects vehicles sold in 2012 and 2013, although exact build and sale dates have not been detailed.
Affected vehicles fall into the VIN range SALLAAAF4CA642486 to SALLAAAG5CA647258.
