Details of the new and updated Lamborghini models launching in Australia in 2016.
Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2 â€" Q2
Lamborghini’s entry-level Huracan line-up now features its own entry-level model, in the form of the LP580-2 variant.
Those familiar with the Lamborghini nomenclature will recognise the significance of the 2 immediately: rear-wheel drive.
Satisfying adherents and slide-happy enthusiasts, the 580-2 matches its rear-spinning layout to a 426kW/540Nm tune of Lamborghini’s 5.2-litre V10 petrol engine.
That means the Huracan cedes 23kW and 20Nm to its all-wheel drive LP610-4 sibling, along with 0.2 seconds to 100km/h and 200km/h, listing 3.4 and 10.1 seconds respectively.
The LP580-2 makes its way to Australia in the second quarter of 2016.

Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 update â€" available to order
The updated Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4, revealed in November, is now available for order in Australia.
Power and torque in the updated LP610-4 remains unchanged for 2016, although Lamborghini has added cylinder deactivation to reduce the V10 engine’s fuel consumption from 12.5L/100km to 12.2L/100km.
The company also promises an improved performance drive, along with a number of small styling tweaks inside and out.
