Already available for order, the first examples of Ferrariâs new 488 Spider will make their way to Australia in the second quarter of 2016.
Revealed in July 2015, the convertible 488 Spider joins its hardtop sibling the 488 GTB, and both replace the 458 Italia that debuted in 2009.
Powering the 488 Spider is a 3.9-litre turbocharged V8, producing 492kW of power and 760Nm of torque.
Ferrari claims a 0-100km/h time of 3.0 seconds flat for the 488 Spider, while a run to 200km/h is listed at just 8.7 seconds.
In Australia, the 488 Spider is priced from $526,888, making it around $60,000 cheape than its predecessor but still a good deal pricier than the $469,888 hardtop.
