Details of the new and updated Abarth models launching in Australia in 2016.
Abarth 500, Abarth Competizione, Abarth Turismo â"Â Q1
The updated Abarth model line-up will launch in the first quarter of 2016, bringing with it a new base model car at a price point never before seen for the brand, and new power outputs across the range.
The Abarth line-up is based upon the updated Fiat 500 hatch (also arriving in Q1), and brings with it the majority of changes seen on that model, including revised styling on the outside. And the new lower price point should be well below the current base price of $34,000 plus on-road costs for the 595 Turismo.
Inside there is expected to be a new media system, revised materials and other specification changes.
Under the bonnet of the current range is a 1.4-litre turbo engine producing 118kW of power and 230Nm of torque. The 2016 Abarth models are expected to see changes to those grunt numbers, and it is possible that a new engine option will be offered in the range, too.
