A new Tesla Supercharger station in Gundagai has now opened, giving owners another opportunity to stop and top up on their way from Sydney to Melbourne (or the reverse).
A Facebook post by Tesla Motors stated:
âThe Gundagai Supercharger Station is open! The final piece to the connection between Sydney and Melbourne, allowing for free long distance travel for our owners.â
Earlier this year Tesla Motors opened the Goulburn and Wodonga Superchargers, whereby CarAdvice drove the route from Sydney to Melbourne using the Supercharger network. At that point it was clear another charge point would be welcome between those two cities.
The Tesla Supercharger network is available free of charge to all owners, and the fast-charging stations can fill from empty to 80 per cent in about 30 minutes, or to full in about an hour.
