2015 Honda Civic hatch recalled for incorrect owner’s manual

Models in the 2015 Honda Civic hatch range have been recalled this week, as a result of the vehicles being delivered with an incorrect version of the owner’s manual.

Honda confirms that, with certain Civic hatch models, the vehicle has been supplied with a European version of the owner’s manual.

As a result, the manual does not feature certain content necessary for our market â€" specifically, this means it is missing relevant information about the seatbelt ELR (emergency locking retractor) and ALR (automatic locking retractor) warnings, along with details for the rear centre anchor-point installation and the vehicle’s maximum towing weight.

Honda has confirmed that it will contact owners of affected vehicles, with the manuals to be replaced free of charge.

The VIN (vehicle identification number) ranges of affected vehicles can be found here. (PDF file, link opens in new tab.)
