Chevrolet Camaro SS Black and Red Accent Package concepts to debut at SEMA

Two concept cars, the Chevrolet Camaro SS Black Accent Package and Chevrolet Camaro SS Red Accent Package, will be part of the bow tie brand’s display at the 2015 SEMA show.

Unlike some vehicles that will be displayed at the show, such as 521kW “Brute Ute” based on the Hyundai Tuscon, the Chevrolet Camaro SS Black Accent Package and Red Accent Package concepts are fairly sedate.

The concept cars are designed to show off some of the parts and options that are available for the new Camaro through GM and its dealer network in North America.

For the Red Accent Package (above and below), Chevrolet started off with a silver Camaro SS convertible, and added black Chevy bow tie badges, a revised lower air intake with red trim, 20-inch alloy wheels with a red outline, and a red slash graphic for the front fenders. There’s also lowered suspension and Brembo brakes up front.

Under the bonnet there’s a red-themed engine cover, while on the inside there’s red leather, red knee pads for the centre console, red aluminium highlights for the doors, and ambient lighting.

The Black Accent Package (top) uses the new red Camaro SS coupe as its starting point before adding black stripes for the bonnet and boot lid, and tinted exhaust tips. The car’s wing mirrors, front splitter, side sills, 20-inch black alloy wheels, and Chevrolet bow ties are, as you’d expect, finished off in black.

Under the skin the car is fitted a lowered suspension package, Brembo front brakes, and a performance air intake. The interior features black leather, sports pedals, and a suede console lid.
