2016 BMW 2 Series Coupe and Convertible pricing and specification update

The BMW 2 Series Coupe is now cheaper and better equipped than before thanks to an update to the brand’s compact two-door range.

The BMW 2 Series Convertible line-up benefits from similar specification enhancements, though prices of the soft-top models have either increased or remained the same.

Every variant across the 2 Series Coupe and Convertible family gains a trio of features from the BMW ConnectedDrive technology suite, including real-time traffic information, in-car services and remote services.

Every 2 Series Coupe picks up a reverse-view camera, while 228i and M235i variants (both hard- and soft-top) also gain DAB+ digital radio.

The biggest winner is the 228i Coupe, which scores all of the equipment listed above and a $4500 reduction, cutting its price to $59,900 plus on-road costs.

The entry 220i and 220d Coupes are down $2100 to $48,900 and $50,900 respectively, while a $2040 reduction lowers the price of the high-performance M235i Coupe to $77,500.
