Nissanâs luxury marque has confirmed that the Infiniti Q30 will make its debut at the 2015 Frankfurt motor show.
The Frankfurt motor show, which starts on September 17, will be the first public outing for the production version of the Infiniti Q30 hatchback.
So far, the company has extensively displayed a concept version, starting at 2013 Frankfurt show. In recent months, pre-production prototypes have been spotted by our spy photographers.
These prototypes seem to indicate that the final version of the Q30 will retain many of the conceptâs dramatic styling features, including the concept carâs dramatic side sculpting.
Under the skin, the Q30 uses the front- and all-wheel drive platform employed by the Mercedes-Benz A-, B-, GLA- and CLA-Classes. The new entry-level vehicle from Infiniti will also employ many of the engines used in the three-pointed starâs hatchback.
According to Infiniti, the Q30 will go on sale across Europe before the end of the year. Itâs expected that the hatchback will go on sale locally by 2017, although exact timing has yet to be confirmed.
A related crossover vehicle, the QX30 was displayed in concept form at this yearâs Geneva motor show, and is widely believed to be going into production in latter half 2016. Both the Q30 and QX30 will be built at Nissanâs plant in Sunderland, UK.
