Official interior images of the 2016 Toyota HiLux have been released along with shots of the single- and space-cab body styles following the all-new uteâs unveiling in Thailand.
The images of Thai-spec models come a few days after Toyota Australia took the wraps off a flagship HiLux SR5 dual-cab in Sydney late last week, but revealed only the eighth-generation uteâs exterior.
Dominating the dashboard of upper-end HiLux variants is a 7.0-inch tablet-style touchscreen with satellite navigation and blue-lit touch-sensitive buttons stacked vertically on both sides.
The instrument cluster features a smaller central screen displaying driving and trip computer data, while buttons on the steering wheel allow drivers to control that screen plus phone and audio functions.
Above the large display screen sits Toyotaâs trademark digital clock, while beneath it is a single-zone climate control panel.
In front of the passenger is a pair of gloveboxes â" the smaller of which is pictured holding three drink cans and other items.
Shots of the dual-cabâs rear seats reveal a centre armrest, outboard ISOFIX ports, and vents.
Also revealed in Thailand were the single-cab and space-cab pick-up body styles.
Technology features of the Thai models certain to head to our market include smart key with push-button start, trailer sway control, downhill assist control and uphill assist control.
The 2016 Toyota HiLux goes on sale in Australia in October. The range will include 31 variants, with the choice of two petrol and two diesel engines, six-speed manual and automatic transmissions, regular and Hi-Rider bodies, 4Ã2 and 4Ã4 drive layouts, three body styles, and three equipment levels.
