To coincide with upcoming release of the new James Bond film, Spectre, perennial slot car maker Scalextric has announced an official licenced set.
Gone are the days of generic coloured sports cars on track though, the Spectre set includes detailed versions of the not-for-sale Aston Martin DB10 and stillborn Jaguar C-X75 supercar.
The details on the cars will be made clearer closer to the release of the set (and film) but initial boxes can be seen clearly behind the Scalextric Aston Martin âGoldfingerâ DB5 that is available separately.
Images also show the prototype set with a typical figure-eight track and flyover bridge.
Itâs not the first time Aston and Jag have faced off in a Bond film â" 2002â²s Die Another Day had 007 behind the wheel of a Aston Martin Vanquish, with villainous Zao pushing a modified Jaguar XKR convertible.
Production of Spectre is currently underway (assuming they sourced some replacement Range Rovers) and is set for a November 2015 release.
The collective inner-child of the CarAdvice team will keep a sharp eye out for this set to hit stores.
