The Fiat Abarth 595 50th Anniversary edition has been uncovered, with the brand claiming itâs the fastest and most powerful 595 model ever â" and itâs coming to Australia in limited numbers.
Just 50 examples of the new Fiat 595 Abarth model will be sold here, with an asking price of $45,000 â" or $10,010 more than the standard version.
The Fiat 595 Abarth is powered by a 1.4-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine which has been pumped up to 132kW of power and 250Nm of torque compared with the existing Esseesse modelâs 118kW/230Nm. The extra grunt is accessed by using the Sport button which allows extra turbo boost.
It has a top speed of 225km/h and can dispatch with the 0-100km/h sprint in âless than seven secondsâ. The car is fitted with the âRecord Monzaâ dual-mode exhaust system that opens up over 3000rpm.
Sadly for enthusiasts, the 595 Abarth retains its electronic five-speed robotized gearbox with paddleshifters instead of a manual transmission. The car features electric power steering with Sport mode, and a Torque Transfer Control system to help direct the power to the correct front wheel during cornering.
Styling enhancements include 17-inch alloys with red lining, red Abarth scorpion decals, three-layer paintwork, xenon headlights and a sunroof. Inside it gains red leather sports seats with white inserts and red stitching, a black leather steering wheel and kick plates, climate control, rear parking sensors and an Interscope stereo system.
All Fiat 595 Abarth 50th Anniversary models come with a â595â² vintage car cover, limited edition sunglasses and a set of Tramontaro luggage.
