Fancy that â" another compact SUV concept has been revealed at the 2014 Delhi auto show. This one is the Tata Nexon concept.
Tataâs concept baby high-rider is built on the same underpinnings as the newly revealed Bolt hatchback and Zest sedan, both of which also debuted at the show.
The Nexon concept measures just short of four metres in length, and the company says itâs powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine with a five-speed automatic sending power to the front wheels, while an electric rear-wheel-drive option is available. Fuel use is rated at 5.7 litres per 100 kilometres, and its top speed is said to be 180km/h.
A production version of the Nexon has not been confirmed as yet, though reports out of India strongly suggest the Nexon will be built, possibly wearing the name Jump.
Tataâs local importer Fusion Automotiveâs managing director Darren Bowler told CarAdvice earlier this week that all of Tataâs new and upcoming products will be considered for Australia.
âEverythingâs on the table,â Bowler said. âWeâll be looking at all products: commercial, SUV and passenger cars.â
