Victoriaâs Transport Accident Commission (TAC) has announced the winners of the Make a Film, Make a Difference (MAFMAD) competition for 2012.
Now in its 10th year, the MAFMAD competition was created to encourage road safety among young people through short films made by young people, for young people.
This yearâs winners are 25-year-old Jordan Weizman for his hip-hop âThe Desoâ designated driver rap video clip and 24-year-old Jonathan Burton for his emotional âYes Mumâ film. The two films will be shown in cinemas, online and at youth events with both winners also receiving a $5000 cash prize.
The TAC is a Victorian government-owned organisation who pay for the treatment and benefits for people injured in transport accidents. It is also involved in promoting road safety in Victoria and in improving Victoriaâs road trauma system.
