2015 Mitsubishi Triton gets drive-away pricing deal: Reversing camera added to GLX

The fresh 2015 Mitsubishi Triton has been given a boost this week, celebrating 300,000 Australian sales with drive-away pricing on three variants in the new range.

The deal delivers drive-away pricing for the Double Cab GLX 4×4 diesel with manual transmission at $36,990 (normally $35,990 before on-road costs), the Double Cab GLS 4×4 diesel manual at $39,990 ($40,990) and the Double Cab Exceed 4×4 diesel manual at $49,990 ($47,490).

Importantly, the special limited-time Triton deal sees the GLX pick up a reversing camera, normally unavailable on models below the mid-spec GLS and top-shelf Exceed models.

That upgrade brings the Triton a little closer â€" if only for a short time and in one limited-time deal â€" to the new HiLux, which offers a reversing camera as standard equipment with all tubbed dual-cab models.

The GLX is also upgraded to 16-inch alloy wheels, replacing the 16-inch steelies usually offered.

As with all other diesel models in the Triton range, these three drive-away offerings are powered by a new 133kW/430Nm 2.4-litre engine.

A six-speed manual is likewise the only option with these three, although a five-speed auto is normally also available. (See full pricing, specs and reviews at CarAdvice’s Triton showroom.)
