Mercedes-Benz V-Class AMG Line revealed

The Mercedes-Benz V-Class AMG Line package has been unveiled and will head onto option lists, at least in Europe, from later this year.

As you’d expect from an AMG-branded styling and equipment package, the V-Class AMG Line includes a whole raft of changes to make the Vito-based people mover look and feel more sporty.

On the outside, there’s 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels, more aggressively cut front and rear bumpers, chunkier side sills, and a rear lip spoiler. The AMG Line rides on a sports suspension system that sits 15mm closer to the ground than regular V-Class models, and there’s also larger discs and Mercedes-Benz-branded brake callipers.

Those sitting inside may notice air vents that are now ringed by a band of silver chrome. There’s also black headliing, faux carbonfibre trim across the dashboard, and brushed aluminium pedals for the driver.

Options available for AMG Line buyers include a large centre console with cooler compartment and LED-illuminated thermo-cupholders, rear seat air-conditioning, a panoramic sunroof that’s claimed to be “the largest … in the mid-size van segment”, Agility Control variable damping suspension, and iPad holders for the front seat backs.

No engine or drivetrain upgrades are included as part of the AMG Line.

The new styling and equipment package will be available internationally on V-Class and V-Class Avantgarde models from the end of this year.
